We do want to keep this simple, but there are a few rules which we believe are basically common sense.

There will be a $30.00 fee for a plot. Plots are to be maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.  Only organic methods will be used both for fertilization and insect control.

You will be asked to sign a simple contract, that among other things holds Makepeace and other people associated with this harmless of any liability. Your presence on the grounds, even in the absence of a signed contract, indicates your acceptance of this provision.

Your use of the land is a privilege not a right, and if the rules are broken you may either be warned or asked to leave the garden permanently.

As much as we love pets, because the area is wide open, we must ask that none are brought to the garden. Now the "turtles" from last year are an exception but what-ya going to do, I ask!!

Hours of operation will be from one-half hour after sunrise to early dusk.  The last one out should close the gate.

We ask that no invasive plants be planted, such as strawberries or horseradish. And please make sure that if you plant plants that tend to wander, that you keep them in your own plot.  This rule will be enforced by the Plant Police.

Please make sure the water is turned off when you leave; swimming in the pond is one thing, but we hope not to have a rice paddie to deal with.

There will be a trash barrel and plastic bags, if the barrel gets full, please tie off the bag and take it with you to dispose of, that way we can keep the "critter" population down, or at least try to.

There will also be a compost bin, perhaps two.  If you spot a 17 foot zucchini on your neighbor's plot and it is headed over towards you, you have permission to dispose of it.  We are here to grow things, not for trophies.
